About the Event

The annual Suicide Prevention Stakeholder event will be held on the 11th October 2023 (09:30am-13:00pm) at the Guildhall in Bath  This is for professionals and volunteers working in suicide prevention in B&NES.

This is an opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved this last year as well as contributing to influence the local B&NES Suicide prevention strategy and action plan.

Throughout the morning, we will:

  • Explore the latest work into suicide prevention.
  • Understand and share what is happening locally.
  • Hear from key speakers and partner organisations.
  • Share our B&NES suicide prevention action plan and begin planning for the 2024-2027 period.
  • Provide opportunities for people to connect and share their experiences and ideas around suicide prevention.

Please register your interest here and do feel free to share with relevant colleagues.

Please also remember to sign up to our suicide prevention newsletter to stay most up to date and informed with news and resources.

The agenda for the day is being worked on and will be shared with those that register when it is ready.

There are a few practicalities to note for the morning:

  • Access to the Guildhall is through the main reception, the meeting will be in the Banqueting Room. The address is: High Street, Bath, BA1 5AW. The main entrance is on the High Street, this is about 7 minutes’ walk from Bath Spa station, or Bath has a good park and ride service. For more detail on how to travel to the Guildhall, please see the attached PDF.
  • The room will be available from 9am with a prompt start at 9:30am.
  • This is a face to face event, so we can work together to action plan effectively; people will be seated in small groups around tables and free to move around the room during breaks.
  • Refreshments will be provided. However, lunch will not be provided on this occasion.
  • In the interests of sustainability please bring a reusable coffee cup if you have one.
