Charities and Fundraising: An Update

We are delighted to be hosting a webinar on 26 January 2023 at 10:00am, bringing together experts from the Fundraising Regulator, Buzzacott and Stone King to review recent fundraising themes and developments, along with case studies where our panel of experts will consider the implications for charities arising out of the cases.

Catherine Orr, from the Fundraising Regulator, will provide an update on themes arising with the Regulator, including a review of the Regulator’s Annual Complaints Report and an oversight of their current caseload.

Luke Savvas from Buzzacott will provide an update and overview of the key tax and VAT issues which need to be taken into consideration when fundraising, while Stephen Ravenscroft from Stone King will provide a summary of the relevant changes in the Charities Act 2022 relating to fundraising appeals.

We are also delighted to be joined by Sarah Coop, a fundraising consultant from Buzzacott, who will provide an overview from the perspective of the fundraiser.
