About the Event

This training is free to all those working in a professional & volunteer capacity in the Bath and North East Somerset area.

This training course is developed by Project 28 (banes) and B&NES council. It is designed to explore factors that could lead to risk taking behaviour in young people, particularly in relation to alcohol, drugs, and sexual health. We will also discuss how to spot signs of substance use, and associated vulnerabilities including exploitation. We will discuss effective approaches to engaging YP in these discussions and promoting harm reduction behaviour.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • To identify challenges that young people face in today’s society

  • To give examples of factors that might contribute to a young person’s risk taking behaviour
