About the Event
- Over 2,500 Giving Circles across the world are changing the face of philanthropy. Giving Circles are groups of individuals with a shared interest that pool their ‘time, talent, and treasure’ to make a greater impact together in their communities.
- Many Giving Circles centre around identities, geographic location or passion for a specific cause. There are still relatively few in the UK but Bath has a well established Giving Circle in Bath Women’s Fund, with around 70 members who have donated over £75,000 to local organisations supporting women and girls since 2020.
- There is great potential to grow many more Giving Circles locally and change the face of philanthropy across Bath, North East Somerset and the South West.
Joshua will be leading a group conversation after the introduction to the topic to see how we can apply this more widely in Bath and North East Somerset.
Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
