Safeguarding is a fundamental part of operating as a charity for the public benefit. Trustees must take reasonable steps to protect people who come into contact with their charity from harm.This course will help trustees embed safeguarding in their governance. The course also explores common safeguarding risks trustees should be aware of, and how to manage personal behaviour and relationships.
OUTCOMES By the end of the training, you'll:
understand your safeguarding duties within current law and policy in England. This includes your responsibilities to staff, volunteers, children and adults at risk of harm, and others in contact with your organisation
understand the governance and assurance role of trustees in building a safeguarding culture
be aware of safer working responsibilities as a trustee.
