About the Event
Covid-19 has thrown up new questions and challenges for volunteering organisations. This course will explore best practice in relation to safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, and equality.
This course is for anyone who manages volunteers or is new to volunteer management. It will also be a useful refresher for anyone with existing knowledge on volunteers and the law.
By the end of the training, you will have:
- a better understanding of the legal position of volunteers and the implications of working volunteers
- explored every aspect of the volunteer journey, including planning, recruitment, induction, support, and development
- discussed relevant legislation and good practice, along with how this applies to re-introducing volunteers and reopening services
- identified key issues for your organisation to be aware of, and actions to take to reduce risk
- considered how to use legislation to develop and communicate an inclusive approach.
This training will take place on Zoom. We will send out the Zoom link with the joining instructions before the session.
The training will run from 10.00 until 13.00 short breaks.
Our pricing structure is based on your organisation’s gross annual income. NCVO members also receive a 30% discount training prices. Ticket prices start at £38 for NCVO members with an annual income up to £50k.
