About the Event
As we move towards a general election, your charity may be planning campaign activity to ensure your issues are on the political agenda.
We know many charities are concerned about the potential risks of political campaigning. There are both legal and reputational risks when taking a prominent role in what can be a divisive, politicised debate.
This one-hour session will give you clear guidelines on:
- what type of campaign activity is regulated
- what you need to know about charity and electoral law
- general good practice when running a charity campaign.
OUTCOMES By the end of the event, you’ll:
- understand the key aspects of charity and electoral law when campaigning in an election period
- learn how to manage risk when speaking out
- know how to campaign in partnership with other charities
- explore key things to consider when using social media.
