Working with Sexual Violence: Responding to Disclosures

SARSA is providing training for professionals working in high disclosure roles, who would like to feel more confident  when responding to disclosures of sexual violence and trauma.

The training informed by SARSA's experience of providing specialist sexual violence support services across Avon and Somerset.

During the training, you will be exploring an evidence-based approach to working with disclosures and how to create a trauma informed practice, relevant legislation, tools for managing distress, information about signposting into specialist services.

By the end of the training you will:

- be confident in how to respond to disclosures of sexual violence

- have increased knowledge about how to deliver a trauma informed practice

- feel informed and empowered to act with best practice when you receive disclosures of sexual violence or harassment

- understand how to create safe spaces for all.
