Pay: £27,000 - £33,000 (based on experience)

At Bath Rugby Foundation, we’re passionate about changing the lives of vulnerable young people. We engage those at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment, or training) and help them build the skills and confidence to thrive.
As Community Officer, you will act as the bridge between our operational delivery and our strategic goals. You will lead by example in delivery, setting the standard for quality, energy, and inclusivity across the coaching team.
You’ll line manage Community Coaches, helping them grow with mentoring and guidance. Alongside this, you’ll coordinate community events making sure they run smoothly and create a great experience for everyone involved. You’ll also play a vital role keeping our impact data up to date so we can show the difference we’re making.
Qualifications
Essential:
•Current safeguarding and first aid (or willing to update)
•Coaching qualification (e.g. NGB Level 2) and/or qualifications relevant to youth work and mentoring.
Experience
Essential:
•Track record of delivering high-quality sports or educational sessions to young people at risk of becoming NEET.
•Planning and delivering festivals and tournaments.
Desirable:
•Supervisory, mentoring, or line-management experience.
•Previous work within a professional sports club’s community foundation.
The successful candidate requires a unique blend of coaching, leadership, and logistical skills and can comfortably shift between engaging vulnerable young people on the ground to managing impact data behind the scenes.

Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
•Deep practical understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
•Excellent communication skills to build relationships with vulnerable young people, schools, and stakeholders.
Desirable:
•Strong admin and IT skills to record data, track impact, and maintain databases (e.g. Upshot, MyConcern).
