Kidical Mass Bath

Kidical Mass Bath

Brief Description of Organisation

We organise regular, family-friendly cycle rides to celebrate cycling and show that we want to cycle and we need safe spaces to do so.

Full Description of Organisation

We create a “Kidical Mass” of families and friends, to cycle through the streets of Bath. We are organising these rides to highlight the need for safer streets for our children.

At the first ride in May 2021, 150 people joined and were ringing their bells joyfully while cycling around the Guildhall, through Saw Close, over Pulteney Bridge and onto Great Pulteney Street. Our youngest rider was four years old and so proud to be taking part.

Families from all over Bath have taken part so far: from Bailbrook to Claverton and from Bathampton to Swainswick.

When riding in a group this big, you can really feel the “safety in numbers”, not to mention that riding together is just so much fun. We end the rides with a picnic in the park where the children can run around and cycle a bit more.

Kidical Mass is a fun, friendly way to try and highlight the needs for safe streets for all.

Everyone is welcome to join, kids and adults alike!

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram “KidicalMassBath” for the latest updates and looking forward to seeing you at the next ride!
