News Exciting opportunities to become a 3SG Trustee
3SG is governed by our member organisations, which means that our 10 Trustees are comprised entirely of senior representatives from the 129 charities, community groups and social enterprises working in BaNES that are members of 3SG.
As you may have read in last week's newsletter, Janet Dabbs (Age UK BaNES) and Les Redwood (Citizens Advice BaNES) are leaving their respective roles which means they can no longer be Trustees of 3SG. Rosie Phillips (DHI) is standing down as a Trustee at our AGM on 17th June which means there are 3 new exciting opportunities to join us.
The Trustee role description is available to read here. The role is suitable for anybody in a senior leadership position within a 3rd sector organisation that is a member of 3SG. You must be able to attend six Trustee meetings a year plus ad hoc support with the 3SG Director and replying to regular group email conversations.
To apply please email email@example.com with a short statement of a maximum of 200 words on why you want to be a trustee of 3SG and what experience you can bring.
All applications will be treated in confidence and the deadline for submissions is midday on 14th June and results will be announced at our AGM on 17th June.
We'd like to express our heartfelt thanks to Janet, Rosie and Les for a combined 12 years of dedicated voluntary service to 3SG, which has seen us grow from an informal networking group to the well established 3rd sector infrastructure organisation we are today.
If you do not wish to apply to become a Trustee but would like to express your views on the experience or attributes that you would like to see in the new Trustees then please also submit those by 14th June so the current Trustees can consider when making the appointments.
