Our Director, Becky Brooks, recently celebrated 1 year with 3SG! Hear from Becky as she reflects on the past year, and what lies in store for the future at 3SG.
"I can't believe it has been a year already since I joined 3SG. It's been a challenging year, but a wonderful one too - moving into a new sector was always going to require some time to settle in. I think I've found my feet, I'm starting to learn the language of the Integrated Care space and I've absolutely loved meeting all of the amazing organisations and people working within them that 3SG supports. The work that is delivered for the community of Bath and North East Somerset in challenging times is incredible.
"3SG exists to support and strengthen the Third Sector in B&NES, and I've made some good connections within the Sector and also outside of it to help deliver support needed and will be building on this within the next year. We're also excited to be moving our office space back to the city centre as of June, so that we are more central as an Infrastructure Organisation (although we will miss our friends at Fairfield House, a big thank you to them for having us). I'd also like to plan more events for North East Somerset as well over the course of the next few months.
"2023 has been the year of the Network - we've successfully launched the Ageing Well Network and the Bath Social Impact Network with partners and both have bright futures ahead of them. We are also looking forward to our first Volunteer Fair, which will take place in September alongside the Community Volunteer Service and St Mungo's, to help bring together organisations and local residents.
"There's so much more to come, but as a charity ourselves, it is vital that Third Sector Infrastructure is supported and that the glue that brings everyone together is not lost. We are hopeful for the future and excited for what lies ahead!"
