Below is a selection of current funding opportunities available to charitable organisations across B&NES.
The 17 opportunities below are listed in order of closing date, and separated into two sections; Local and National.
Local Opportunities
🪙Various
Bath & North East Somerset Council has opened the latest round of its Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund, which invests money from new developments into community-led projects across the city that improve local areas. Local organisations can apply for the funding on the council website for projects which support the community and respond to local needs.

🪙£1,000 - £15,000
This grant is designed to help community buildings (Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, or South Gloucestershire) buy and install new products and equipment to improve the energy efficiency and/or reduce the carbon emissions of your premises and operations by using low carbon technology. Eligible organisations must be a registered charity, charitable incorporated organisation (CIO), charitable trust, community interest company (CIC), cooperative society, or community benefit society.

🪙Up to £6,000
This initiative is being launched to help residents propose, promote, and raise money for projects that improve their local environment. The platform will support communities in turning ideas for greener, healthier neighbourhoods into reality. Eligible projects could include community gardens, habitat creation, tree planting, pollinator-friendly spaces, improvements to parks and green spaces, and initiatives that help people connect with nature and the outdoors.

Project Development Grants - up to ÂŁ6,000
This grant is for organisations at an early stage in developing a project. The grant is available for research into the feasibility of proposals to improve, expand or create genuinely affordable, environmentally sustainable rented housing for those in need.
Funding priorities;
Projects in East of England, Southwest of England (Somerset, Devon, Cornwall) and Wales - geographically underrepresented in recent award rounds

â—ŹÂ Â Â Â Â Organisations working with people with No Recourse to Public Funds

Quartet Community Foundation
🪙Maximum £5000
The Express Grant Programme is to support local grassroot groups and small to medium sized organisations working with communities experiencing inequalities and disadvantage. Eligibility is open to organisations based and working in Bristol, Bath and North-East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.

🪙£1,000 - £10,000
The Bath Boules Trust seeks to distribute funds raised to as many worthy causes as possible and over the years has granted donations to over 70 local charities. Charities are encouraged to request a grant from the Trust at any time for their consideration.  The Trustees then grant funds for specific projects or equipment that is really going to make a difference and can be anything from a few pounds to thousands, depending on what’s required.

National Opportunities
🪙 Up to £10,000
This funding is to support the most disadvantaged, and especially disadvantaged young people, to access the benefits of the countryside. The objectives are to support and encourage education in sustainable farming, food production and rural land management. It is open to registered charities or community interest companies, preferably with a turnover of less than ÂŁ1.5m.

🪙£200 - £10,000 The average grant awarded is £4,000
Grants to UK charities for educational activities for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Also, grants for iron projects for the restoration of historic ironwork or creation of new decorative work in iron and steel. Open to registered charities.

🪙£5,000,000
One grant of £5,000,000 to support a single, bold and collaborative project led by a registered charity, encouraging charities to work together on transformational and innovative solutions to major social or environmental challenges across Great Britain. Applications must be made by a partnership of at least two organisations, with one charity acting as the lead applicant, and projects are expected to be ambitious, highly impactful and delivered over multiple years; funding is for project costs only

🪙 Offering £200,000 over 3 - 5 years
The funding is available to organisations working with racially minoritised young men aged 18-25 in contact with the criminal justice system in the Uk. Eligibility limited to organisations who provide specialist services for racially minoritised young men, that meet their specific needs, with a person centred, holistic, long term service.

🪙Grants available £1,000,000 to £5,000,000
This funding is for organisations that can support community leaders who are making change in and for their communities. Eligible organisations must operate in at least 2 regions of England and have a combined gross annual income of more than ÂŁ1 million

🪙 Up to £10,000 - 10 available
The GSK Community Health programme will support aspirational leaders to develop their organisations to tackle health inequalities. Organisations led by and supporting the most disadvantaged communities – such as those supporting ethnic minority communities, people with disabilities, people from the LGBTQ+ community, and others – are particularly encouraged to apply for this programme. Eligible organisations must have a total annual income between £20,000 and £150,000 and able to demonstrate how they are tackling health inequalities in their community.

🪙Over £4 m
DCMS is seeking a single grant recipient (or consortium) to lead the Youth Matters Fund (YMF). This ÂŁ400 million+ programme is committed to delivering significant, long-term change in youth provision across under served areas in England. The recipient must be a charitable, benevolent, or philanthropic organisation with the capacity, capability, and experience to manage a grant programme of this scale and complexity. 🪙£200,000 (£50k per year over 4 years)
Giving young people with learning disabilities meaningful work experiences. Helping organisations deliver support in both mainstream and SEND school settings. Support that embeds employment principles, providing tailored vocational profiling, meaningful work experience, and early links to employers. Our goal is to help young people secure meaningful paid work. Eligible organisations will have a annual income of less than ÂŁ3 million

🪙 Main grant of £150,000 over three years
The Baring Foundation has new funding available under their Strengthening Civil Society Programme to tackle corporate harm - the sub theme is migration. This is open to migrants’ rights organisation able to evidence an interest in holding corporations to account for the harms caused by their activities OR, organisations who use legal tools for Social Change with an income of £2 million plus that is a civil society organisation, preferably a charity.

🪙£100,000 to £200,000 over 4 years
This fund will work with community organisations that are supporting people at key turning points in their lives when the risk of homelessness is highest including people leaving the prison system, domestic abuse survivors, young adults leaving care and individuals leaving the asylum system on securing leave to remain in the UK.

🪙 £2,000 - £5,000
Grants for Good provides unrestricted funding to small and growing local charities, voluntary groups or social enterprises. We support those making a big impact on people, communities or the environment. This is open to any UK-based community group, charity, voluntary group or social enterprise with an annual income of less than ÂŁ50,000.
