Local Opportunities:

Bristol BID is inviting businesses, landowners, residents and community groups to help make Bristol City Centre greener, healthier and more biodiverse thanks to our new Greening Fund.
Whether you have a fully developed project or simply know of a space with the potential for planting, habitat creation or other greening improvements, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to have a fully developed project in mind; our team can help develop your ideas and, where appropriate, either provide funding for you to deliver the project or deliver it on your behalf through our Urban Gardener team.Â

Peasedown St. John Parish Council recognises the crucial role that volunteers, and community groups play in Peasedown and how key they are to a successful community. They welcome applications from Organisations based in the Peasedown St Johns Parish (Peasedown St. John, Carlingcott, New Buildings and Braysdown) whose activity or service directly benefit residents of the parish

Police and Crime Commissioner's Community Fund - Avon & Somerset Police
🪙 £1,000 - £10,000
This fund offers grants of between ÂŁ1,000 and ÂŁ10,000 to VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise) groups running projects that help prevent crime, serious violence or antisocial behaviour.
Eligible projects should either make a real difference to safety in a particular neighbourhood, or it should support a group of people who are at higher risk of becoming involved in crime, as victims or as perpetrators.
You can apply if you are a constituted community or voluntary group, a registered charity, a charitable incorporated organisation, a community interest company, or a similar not-for-profit body working for the benefit of your community.

🪙£1,000 - £20,000
The Fund has been set up by Quartet Community Foundation and North Somerset Community Partnership to support community-based organisations responding to the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged local people in North Somerset.
Applications are open to voluntary, community, charity and social enterprise organisations providing health & wellbeing services that
support residents of North Somerset, of any age, to improve their physical or mental health and wellbeing, including supporting early intervention and prevention
support health and wellbeing organisations based in North Somerset to plan for the future of their organisations, aiding long term sustainability and including core costs
support health and wellbeing initiatives, including sports facilities for North Somerset schools. Projects must demonstrate wider community impact
support older people who may be impacted by isolation and loneliness, including those in more rural communities in North Somerset

Wessex Water Community Fund - Opens 21st September
🪙Maximum Award £4,000
This Community Fund supports charitable and community-based activities or projects that meet a local need and seek to improve the lives of local people who are most in need of support. Priority is given to work that fulfils one of more of the following:
takes place in areas of multiple deprivation or rural isolation where people lack access to local services
helps build stronger communities – enabling people to work together and create solutions to local challenges
helps people take steps to manage or avoid debt and build their financial capability. This can include activities that raises awareness and take up of utility affordability support such as the Wessex Water schemes
Applicants must be based and working in the West of England, which includes Bath & North-East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You can apply for a grant if you are a:

National Opportunities:
🪙Up to £500
This programme is designed to support community groups or organisations operating within two miles of a One Stop store and which are:
Tackling food poverty
Supporting the vulnerable
Supporting the elderly
Supporting low-income families
Running youth sports teams
Reducing and/or recycling waste
Improving the environment
Eligible stores in the area include Midsomer Norton, Marston Rd in Trowbridge, Twerton & James St West, Bath.

The Comic Relief Community Fund will support and invest in grassroots community-led local organisations in England to drive change in their local communities, drawing on the lived experience of beneficiaries they support. The 2026/27 programme will focus on supporting the following thematic areas:
Basic Needs: projects tackling homelessness, food and other essential goods, community hubs, welfare advice agencies and other cost of living-related issues
Early Childhood Development: supporting children up to the age of eight to grow, play and learn in safe environments with people who love and care for them
Safety: preventing violence against women and girls, forced migration or refugees/asylum seekers
They accept applications from Constituted voluntary & community groups, Charities, Social Enterprises, CIC's limited by guarantee and not for profit companies limited by guarantee.

🪙£20,000 - £50,000
The UK government’s Common Ground Award aims to recognise good practice across England, in promoting community cohesion and resilience, by directly investing in organisations making a positive impact.
The Common Ground Award will shine a spotlight on organisations across England that are making a real difference by bringing communities together. Through the Common Ground Award, MHCLG will provide direct capital investment into voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, that are building social connections across and between different communities. This investment will support the cost of constructing or renovating facilities, spaces or the purchasing of equipment to help deliver services that build community cohesion and resilience.
Applications open until 12th October 2026
🪙Grants up to £7,000
The DPS programme is offering a specialist accelerator learning programme and grant funding for early-stage organisations in England and Wales tackling the causes and consequences of homelessness. The programme is delivered through a tailored learning programme of 12 sessions plus 1:1 support and market making event over 9 months.
Application eligibility: If your organisation meets all of the following;
Is based in, and has a majority of beneficiaries in England or Wales.
Its work: helps people access or sustain a home – some or all of which should be in the private rented sector. OR - reduces homelessness and rough sleeping.
Is “early-stage” but has some activity in place, with a plan to grow and likely over £100,000 annual income .

Application eligibility: If your organisation meets all of the following;
Is based in, and has a majority of beneficiaries in England or Wales.
Its work: helps people access or sustain a home – some or all of which should be in the private rented sector. OR - reduces homelessness and rough sleeping.
Your organisation is established and ready to scale. Annual income is likely to be over ÂŁ100,000
You can commit to attending all elements of the programme (programme dates will be confirmed well in advance of the programme).

🪙Grants up to £5,000
Help the Homeless is a grant-giving trust, founded in 1975, to help homeless people off the streets and enable them to live healthy, independent lives. We fund a wide variety of organisations and favour small, grassroots charities working to help the most vulnerable people in their communities.
Eligibility criteria:
Your organisation must be registered with the Charity Commission in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or a registered Scottish Charity.
Our funding is restricted to small charities with an annual turnover of less than ÂŁ500,000.
Funding deadlines Quarterly: 20th September / 20th December.
🪙£2,000 - 5,000
Grants for Good provides unrestricted funding to small and growing local charities, voluntary groups or social enterprises. We support those making a big impact on people, communities or the environment.
To be eligible for our small charity funding, applicants must:
Be a UK-based community group, charity, voluntary group or social enterprise
Have an annual income of less than ÂŁ50,000.
Have a bank account in the organisation’s name.

Financial Futures Fund - Shaping stronger financial futures, together
The Financial Futures Fund works in partnership with organisations across the UK to improve financial resilience. Our purpose is to fund long-term solutions that help people feel more secure, confident, and in control of their financial future.Â
We fund initiatives that aim to address the drivers of financial resilience and promote lasting change. Whether it’s improving access to financial services, building financial capability, or tackling systemic barriers, we’re committed to supporting work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
Eligibility Criteria:
Have an annual income of £1 million or more
Are UK-registered, with projects delivering impact within the UKÂ
Align with our mission to drive transformational change in financial resilienceÂ
Share our values and commitment to inclusionÂ
🪙Up to £100,000
Funding for projects that are focused on young women and girls who already have a history of offending or who are at high risk of registering a first offence.
Funding is now available for work with young women age 17-30 with a focus on three specific areas: 1) holistic support around housing, employment and building healthy family relationships; 2) pre-release and through the gate support to meet immediate needs; and 3) support for mothers prior to and after serving a custodial sentence.
Projects will need to demonstrate age, gender, trauma, and culturally responsive approaches to working with young women and girls. We are particularly interested in supporting work that provides peer support from women with their own lived experience and projects that can demonstrate that they have been co-designed with the voices of young women and girls.
Who can apply: Community and voluntary organisations who can demonstrate a track record of working with young people in contact with the criminal justice system or vulnerable hard to engage young people on the edge of the criminal justice system.
🪙Up to £20,000
Our Connecting Communities grants offer up to ÂŁ20,000 to charities who provide placed-based services to our entire community or specific groups.
We believe thriving communities are built on the strength of their shared infrastructure. From bustling village halls and communal gardens to local schools, hospices, and specialist support services, these spaces serve as the vital cornerstones of connection, resilience, and care.
We want to provide the essential capital needed to transform aging, underutilised, or inaccessible spaces - whether they serve the broad public or offer targeted, specialist facilities for specific groups within the neighbourhood.
By investing up to ÂŁ20,000 per project, we aim to unlock the potential of these local anchor institutions. Our funding aims to reduce social isolation, fosters a deep sense of belonging, and ensures that the physical spaces at the 'heart' of our communities remain resilient, inclusive, and equipped to serve for generations to come.

🪙Up to £10,000
The Gardens Trust Community Grant is for up to ÂŁ10,000 and is intended to help seed-fund volunteer projects that will support historic designed landscapes in the UK.
The criteria for the grant are:
The applicant must be a volunteer group. It does not have to be a registered charity, but does need to be able to demonstrate that it is an active group with a clear plan.
The project can be any activity relating to historic designed landscapes
We are particularly looking for something that will act as seed-funding/pump priming for a sustainable activity. For example, an application to fund a restoration plan, Friends group set-up costs, research project, or volunteer training scheme.
The project can be based anywhere in the United Kingdom.
We particularly encourage applications that reflect Gardens Trust priorities around conservation, sharing knowledge, and encouraging inclusive participation and enjoyment of historic designed landscapes.

The AAUK Improving Outcomes Fund exists to create equity in the aftercare space for air ambulance patients and crews, ensuring that provisions are in place to support them through the emotional effects of what can be a traumatic and life-changing incident.
Applications to the fund are invited from air ambulance charities within the following areas:
