The Heart of Our Community Takes Centre Stage at the Radio Bath Charity Awards 2026

The people and organisations at the heart of Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire’s community once again took centre stage on Tuesday 6th October as the second annual Radio Bath Charity Awards, in partnership with 3SG, brought together volunteers, charities, community groups, businesses and supporters for an inspiring afternoon of recognition and celebration.
Held in Bath, the awards shone a spotlight on the remarkable people and organisations making a difference across our area every day. From dedicated volunteers and community champions to pioneering local charities, the event celebrated the passion, commitment and kindness that help make Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire such a special place to live.
Guests gathered to honour an outstanding group of nominees, highly commended recipients and winners, each recognised for strengthening communities, supporting those in need and creating positive change.
We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Somerset and Stephanie Millward MBE to the event, joining guests in celebrating the dedication, compassion and community spirit demonstrated by this year's nominees, highly commended recipients and winners.
Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst said:
"The Radio Bath Charity Awards were created to celebrate the incredible work happening
across Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire, and this year's event did exactly that.
Every nomination told a story of compassion, dedication and community spirit.
While the awards recognise individual achievements, the day was really about showcasing the strength of our local charity sector and highlighting the many people who quietly make a difference every day. We are incredibly proud to help shine a light on their work and celebrate the positive impact they have on our community. We are extremely grateful to the business sponsors whose support enables us to put this special event on."
The event featured awards across a range of categories, recognising excellence in volunteering, fundraising, community engagement and charitable impact. However, organisers emphasised that every nominee should be proud of their achievements and the vital role they play within their communities.
The Radio Bath Charity Awards were established to celebrate and raise awareness of the outstanding work taking place across Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire, encouraging greater recognition and support for the charities, volunteers and community organisations that help local people thrive.
As one celebration comes to a close, plans are already underway for next year's Radio Bath Charity Awards, taking place on 28th September 2027. Organisers hope the event will continue to shine a light on the incredible people, projects and organisations that help make Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire such a caring, connected and supportive community.
