About the Event

The contribution of Health and Care Professional Leaders across the work of our Integrated Care System is pivotal to achieving the ambitions of the ICS strategy.  The commitment we are seeking is to ensure all Health and Care Professional Leaders have opportunity to inform, shape and lead the planning, decision making, transformation and delivery of services across the system, that there is investment in their development and time to be system leaders, alongside the development of future leaders across the system.

There are several ways health and care professionals leaders can get involved in this Health and Care Professional Leadership Inspiring Action! event:

Virtual Preparation Sessions: we are running three sessions in the run up to the in-person event

  • Wednesday 27th September 12:30-13:30
  • Thursday 28th September 16:00-17:00
  • Tuesday 3rd October 10:00-11:00

The aim of these virtual preparation sessions is to build on the input from the Big Conversation in March and start developing the Commitments (the how) we want different stakeholders to make to achieve these Statements of Intent (the what). To join a virtual preparation session, please choose the most convenient date for you, and request the invite BSWICB.HCPD@nhs.net

Inspiring Action! In-person Event: is on Friday 6th October at the Civic Centre in Trowbridge.  There will be two sessions that will seek final engagement and development of the work on health and care professional leadership from which we hope to have the Vision (the why HCPL is important), the Statements of Intent (the what we aspire to see for HCPL) and the Commitments (the how we’ll achieve it) agreed.  We have two confirmed sessions with external facilitators – Decision Quality for Leaders by Fraser Battye from the Strategy Unit and Leadership Qualities for a Complex World by Sarah Willament form Farleigh Performance.

To attend it takes a couple of minutes to register using Eventbrite Inspiring Action! Eventbrite link  If you would like the calendar invite please contact us BSWICB.HCPD@nhs.net
