Climate change is reducing the quality of our lives and widening social inequalities. It’s impacting the very communities charities work to support. It’s also likely to affect the day-to-day work of charities across different subsectors.Fossil fuels are the largest contributor to climate change. They account for over 75% of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90% of all carbon dioxide emissions.Through divesting investments from fossil fuels, charities have an opportunity to take practical actions which have environmental impacts.
