This course will teach you how to interpret and report financial information.Using the annual accounts of two example charities, you'll learn how to analyse financial positions and identify red flags. You’ll develop skills to help your charity become more financially stable, build a strategy, and navigate financial uncertainty with greater confidence.

PRICING Our pricing structure is based on your organisation’s gross annual income. NCVO members also receive a 30% discount on training prices.If your organisation is an NCVO member, please log in to your NCVO website account before booking. Organisations with a gross annual income of less than £30,000 can join NCVO for free.

Prices start at £63 for NCVO members with an annual income under £50,000, and £90 for non-members of the same income bracket.

OUTCOMES By the end of the training you’ll:understand charity business models and how they contribute to financial sustainability know how to use forecasting, scenarios, reserves and indicators to navigate financial uncertainty and manage financial difficulty understand what a financial strategy looks like and how it can help build financial resilience.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This course is for anyone who’s interested in building longer-term financial sustainability in a small or medium-sized charity.The course is suitable for senior leaders and trustees.Attendees should have experience in budgeting and financial record keeping. WHO DELIVERS THE TRAINING? Liz Pepler MIAB FRSA (she/her) delivers this course. Liz has over 20 years of experience working in senior roles at national and small charities.Liz is currently treasurer of the Association of Chairs. She’s also a member in practice of the Institute of Accounting and Bookkeeping. She has a Masters in Charity Accounting and Financial Management (Dist) and a PG Certificate in Charity Governance.

HOW WILL IT BE DELIVERED? This training will take place on Zoom. We will send out the Zoom link with the joining instructions before the session.The training will run from 10.00 until 15.00 with short breaks and a longer lunch break.
