About the Event
Join us to find out more about the Charity Commission’s updated investment guidance and what trustees’ responsibilities are when making investment decisions.
The Charity Commission for England and Wales recently updated its investment guidance (CC14) to make it clearer and give trustees the confidence to make investment decisions for their charity. Trustees are strongly encouraged to attend alongside Trust and Foundation staff.
At this event we will explore:
- Background to the need for the refreshed guidance
- The steps trustees ‘must’ take to be compliant with the law and those they ‘should’ do which are strongly recommended as good practice
- Identifying the factors relevant to include in decision-making on investments, including identifying investments that could conflict with your charity’s purposes
- Making decisions about social, as well as financial, investments
There will be the opportunity to ask questions at the event, if you would like to share a comment or query prior to the event email policy@acf.org.uk by Monday 18 September.
