About the Event

Developing Mature Charity Governance: Practicality, proportionality and balance in governance: how to do what should be done

Early in 2022 at Stone King we ran a series of three interactive workshops, led by Partner, Julian Blake, to extend and complement our successful Charity Trustee Training Programme - ‘Developing Mature Charity Governance’.

The sessions were carefully developed to establish what practical governance issues are of particular concerns to charities, and the feedback was very positive.

Julian Blake and Nicole Reed will pick-up on the themes from the 2022 “mature governance sessions” and introduce the two more specifically focussed sessions to come.

Participants are invited to raise practical issues and concerns about the realities and complexities of governance and how the general principles may be applied in context. Julian and Nicole offer their perspectives, respectively, from over 30 years as a charity lawyer and from recently being involved in a series of difficult cases.

This session will last for 90 minutes and we ask that you submit your questions in advance so that we can plan the session content based on your responses. This is intended to be a fully interactive session with input from speakers and delegates. We would like to know what is of interest to charity managers and leaders in the hope that we can link up similar interests and have a group discussion.

The cost of each session is £75 per person with any additional delegates from your organisation costing £50 per person.
