About the Event

Stand Against Racism & Inequality (SARI), The Diversity Trust and SWAN Advocacy are pleased to host FREE online Hate Crime Awareness sessions as part of The Every Victim Matters Project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

This training session is specifically for professionals working with in the areas of BANES, North Somerset and Somerset.

Within the three-hour session, each organisation will be leading on their speciality; SARI on Race and Faith Hate Crime, The Diversity Trust on LGBTQ+ Hate Crime and SWAN Advocacy on Disability Hate Crime.

This session will equip professionals with knowledge and confidence on the following:

  • Different types of Hate Crime
  • How to recognise and report Hate Crime and Hate Incidents.
  • How to support someone who has been a victim of Hate Crime.
  • Best Practice.
