Fundraising & Communications Network: Learning about and inspiring support through Impact Reporting

Measuring, evaluating and communicating our social impact is critical for us all but can be very challenging, particularly for smaller organisations tackling complex issues in our communities. Not only does this help organisations to understand and improve the difference we make and strategic planning, it also helps us to inspire individuals, charitable trusts and foundations, companies and community groups to support our work and understand the impact of their grants, donations and fundraising.

Stacey Pottinger, founder of Octopus Impact, has worked with the University of Bath's Public Engagement Unit to develop a free training programme for measuring and evaluating social impact. This has now been developed into an e-learning programme, which equips learners with tools and strategies to effectively measure, evaluate, and communicate the social value of their projects.
