About the Event

Join us on Zoom to learn about Giving Circles, a growing global movement that is changing philanthropy with more than 2,500 active circles around the world giving intentionally and thoughtfully.

A Giving Circle brings together a group of people with shared values to achieve a greater impact collectively. Join us for this webinar to hear about:

  • the Giving Circle collective giving model and benefits research into Giving Circles and how they can grow giving in communities our journey in setting up Bath Women's Fund as a new Giving Circle, bringing together local women to connect with our community and give £77,500 to thirteen groups since 2020
  • how you can set up your own Giving Circle and the support available.

Presented by Bath Women's Fund Co-Founders:

  • Emma Beeston, an independent philanthropy advisor to philanthropists, families and foundations. Her advice guides donors from exploring their values through to implementing their giving to achieve their philanthropic goals. Emma teaches on the Masters in Philanthropic Studies at the University of Kent and Bayes Business School’s Masters in Philanthropy, Grantmaking and Social Investment, and wrote 'Advising Philanthropists: Principles and Practice' with Dr Beth Breeze.
  • Isobel Michael, an experienced fundraiser for Southside Family Project in Bath and provides freelance support on fundraising, governance and impact measurement for other small charities. Isobel coordinates the Bath Fundraisers' Group, is an assessor for BBC Children in Need and a trustee of two small charities.
