About the Event
The Health and Care Professional Leadership Event on Tuesday 23 April 2024 is our latest in-person opportunity to come together as a network across the BSW system. The focus of this day will be on the role and effect that leadership has on learning – both the learning and development of individuals, but also on system learning.
These are sessions run by Integrated Care to help develop Health and Care Professional Leadership across the System. Nicola Hazle, one of the organisers, is looking for Third Sector to share some of the tools they are using for the learning and development within their teams, and if they would be willing to present/share/facilitate on the day.
In relation to individual learning we are hoping to have colleagues sharing about the role of Legacy Mentors and Professional Nurse Advocates in nursing. We will also be introducing colleagues to a new Scope For Growth tool and running an interactive session using some elements of it. For the system learning part of the day, our nursing and quality team with patient safety colleagues from across our health providers, including medicines optimisation, will be sharing learning and the new Patient Safety Incident Response Framework which takes a systems approach to learning (recognising that health and care staff work in complex systems and processes and are most often not “to blame”).
We know that our Third Sector partners will be using various different tools and frameworks to support learning and development of their staff, as well as improvement learning methodology to support delivering of services.
We would welcome any partners interested in sharing their experiences on the day to get in touch. The diversity of HCPLs across the system means we have much to learn from each other! Please do get in touch with me directly nicola.hazle2@nhs.net to discuss further.
