About the Event
Are you a community health and social care professional working in the home with older people or people with disabilities? Healthy Homes is a FREE training that highlights the ways in which housing problems can contribute to poor health. The next session is on Wednesday, 15th September 2021 from 10am - 12pm (will likely finish much earlier).
You can expect to:
- Develop your understanding of how poorly maintained homes can affect people’s health.
- Discuss how best to consider housing issues when assessing the needs of patients and service users.
- Receive information about our Home from Hospital Service.

The training is open to anyone who works with people who may be older, on low incomes or disabled to remain independent by improving the quality, safety and suitability of their homes.
The participants tend to be: social workers, occupational therapists, community health workers and staff and volunteers from Third sector support services such as the Red Cross, dementia navigators, Care Direct staff .
