About the Event

Ever dreamed of telling your charity or non-profit's story on the news or in the media? Do you lack the budget to market on a large scale and need a public-interest media focus to shine a light on your cause? Perhaps you've got a great story to tell, but just need an audience? This workshop from Third Sector Network will give you the insights and knowledge you need to get your organisation into the public eye through the lenses of the media, and all at a cost of nothing but your own time and effort. The workshop will focus on how you can get mainstream media channels like the BBC to invite you on to their shows. How to get news channels to want to speak to you rather than vice versa. How to get newspapers to give you coverage as well as the immense possibilities with online media outlets. This isn't something just for major non-profits or organisations with something huge happening. This is practical, simple tips and methods to get ANY non-profit of ANY size or stature invited into mainstream news channels and featured in major newspapers or podcasts. Imagine being able to regularly go in front of audiences in the thousands and thousands (or even more) and talk about what your charity does and how people can help! You can make that dream a reality... If you know how. If big-budget marketing is out of your league or you think you're too small for the media to care? Well, you don't need the first one, and even if you're a one person operation, we guarantee the second one needn't be true! After the workshop there will be an open-ended Q&A session where you can shine a light on your circumstances and get bespoke suggestions from our expert.

The event also includes Third Sector Network's exclusive Full Follow On Service. The expert event host will make himself available via email for a full week after the event to take continued queries and questions about anything to do with the subjects covered. So you can go and get started and still seek support afterwards!

Host & Trainer - Joe Green has been a specialist in non-profit business development for some time. He has featured on both BBC radio and television as a guest expert. He contributes frequently on BBC news also. He has extensive experience of taking non-profits with no media exposure and getting them mainstream coverage on a regular basis with no financial outlay. Just good networking techniques.
