About the Event

When we are giving money help to others later life issues are often the last thing on our minds. We often have to help people with more immediate problems like getting a roof over their head, avoiding eviction, getting food on the table or working out how to pay a growing pile of bills.

While we think that later life issues can be kicked down the road, this is not true for everyone we help. That’s why we are bringing together experts in matters of importance in later life issues, which unfortunately is not old age for everyone.

We also know from our own experience giving money guidance to people on low incomes in London that a change in circumstances, like paying for a funeral, can plunge a family into debt for years. Helping people to be better prepared today can help them a lot when challenges arrive tomorrow.

When you have attended our event you will be better prepared to give help, guidance and signposting to people faced with or preparing for later life issues.

Date and Time: Tuesday 1 October 10.15-15.30

Paul Fox – South West England Relationships Manager for the Money & Pensions Service
