About the Event

Event details

Time Well Spent is NCVO’s research programme focusing on volunteers and their experience. In this session we'll share the latest insights on an important topic: volunteering among the global majority. We use the term ‘global majority’ to refer to all ethnic groups except white British and other white groups, including white minorities. This includes people from black, Asian, mixed, and other ethnic groups who are often referred to as ‘ethnic minorities’. Learn more about our use of global majority. This new research aims to:understand volunteering and the volunteer experience among the global majority in more depth compare the volunteer experience of those from the global majority with volunteers overall, to understand similarities and differences explore barriers among non-volunteers from the global majority The findings will help practitioners and policymakers improve the experience of global majority volunteers and address barriers to volunteering. We also invite reflections from our panel and attendees.
