About the Event
We hold a monthly Leaders' Network meetings for our members, which we aim to alternate between in-person and online to accommodate for different individuals' preferences. Each session will have a theme and guest speaker. The theme for this session will be 'Planning for Impact'.
Planning for Impact - with Aileen Lyon.
This session will look at the nature of impact, why it is important to articulate and understand it, pathways to impact and how progress can be measured. With a focus on simplicity and clarity, we will explore some simple tips on how to do it well, and share some challenges and resources along the way.
Aileen has worked for social justice throughout her career. She has worked in the social sector, with and for the public and private sector in the UK and more than 20 countries around the world. Her most recent work, as a freelance consultant, focuses on planning for and delivering impact. She has had a role as an impact advisor with a project of the British Geological Survey, a global leader in research, carried out evaluations for the Global Equality Project of the Westminster Foundation for Development and Kaleidoscope Trust and carrying out an impact update for the Independent Commission for Aid Impact which works to ensure UK aid is spent effectively.
In preparation for the session, think about your biggest challenge with planning for impact in your organisation.

- - promoting total expected wellbeing, considered impartially, over the long term
Leaders take many forms in the third sector, from CEOs to Trustees and Volunteers generously giving their time, so please do come along or check out our other networks!
The core aim of our Leaders' Network is to:
