About the Event

Have you got an issue you need to tackle in your work with groups in the community? Recruiting new and diverse members, addressing cliques or tricky group dynamics, supporting or encouraging volunteers, making changes to structure or activities, or something else?

Whether you’ve been to a GPM training session before and want to think about how you could use that knowledge in your situation, or you have a specific issue you’d like some support with, this session could help you.

Our Good Practice Mentor Jessica Duffy from Leeds Older People’s Forum, will bring together small groups of other individuals who are responsible for groups in their area, and provide a safe and supportive space for you to share your experiences, ask questions and collaborate with colleagues to try and find solutions to your current group dilemmas. We’ll support each other to think of new ways to tackle challenges and get fresh perspectives from peers, while offering expertise and advice from your own experiences.

Jessica has over 20 years of experience establishing and working alongside groups, and training volunteers in group leadership. Come and find out how she and your community-based peers can help you solve your tricky group problems!

If you can’t make it to one of these peer based sessions, or if you want to work something through with your own staff team then please get in touch to organise a bespoke session that will work for you and your organisation.
