About the Event

Due to popular demand and positive feedback from the BSW Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training, B&NES, Swindon & Wiltshire Councils now have an additional MECC training date available in July.

Making Every Contact Count Training - Making changes such as stopping smoking, improving diet, increasing physical activity, losing weight and reducing alcohol consumption can help people to reduce their risk of poor health significantly. Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is a behaviour change approach that utilises the millions of daily interactions that organisations and people have with others to encourage changes in behaviour that have a positive effect on the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and populations. Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is about making the most of the contacts we have with the people we meet every day. MECC is a reflective skills-based training opportunity that encourages a different way of interacting to address health and wellbeing issues. The training is particularly useful for anyone with any contact with the public in their roles.

The free training, organised by B&NES, Swindon & Wiltshire Councils includes:

 •             3 MECC e-learning modules
