Speaker information:

Noha Al Afifi: Noha is the Interim Chief Executive of the charity Arthritis Action. She has over 18 years' experience in marketing, communications and fundraising, including in senior leadership positions. She has worked across various sectors, including telecommunications, higher education, healthcare and the third sector, both in the UK and internationally. Noha is a Trustee of National Voices and a Board member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). She has been named in PRWeek UK’s Power Book 2021-23, which recognises the top communications professionals in the country.

Noha has a real passion for nurturing teams and promoting better equality, diversity and inclusion practices across organisations.

Ruth Seymour: Ruth is the founder of Root & Renew Nutritional Therapy which uses individualised nutrition support to get to the root causes of physical and mental health challenges and help people feel well.

Ruth has also spent 20 years in the charity sector, mainly in senior leadership roles across fundraising and marketing, and now works freelance alongside her nutrition practice. As a former Board Director leading a team of 60 and with responsibility for £15m income, Ruth is very familiar with the feelings of overwhelm, stress and exhaustion that can sometimes hamper our short-term performance as leaders and, crucially, our long-term health.

Ruth is now using both her charity career experience and nutrition knowledge to support people working in the charity sector to focus on their own well-being alongside growing impact for their organisation.

Helen Robson: Helen is a Leadership Consultant, Insights Practitioner, and Founder of the Bloom Project, with over 20 years of experience in recruitment, training and leadership development.

She is passionate about ensuring there is access to expert information and support for organisations on pregnancy and returning to work post-maternity. The Bloom Project works with maternity returners, teams, people managers, leaders, and whole organisations.

Returning to work can be an amazing time. It can also be traumatic. The Bloom Project equips people in organisations with knowledge, enabling more awareness and empathy when faced with the impact and effects of pregnancy and returning to work post-maternity.
