About the Event

Join us for a midsummer morning event aimed at anyone working in health and social care.
  • Increase knowledge and understanding of Nature-Based Practices within your teams.
  • Increase knowledge and understanding of how Health Inequalities affect our locality.
  • Networking and Wellbeing opportunity for staff working in Health and Social care.
  • Tasters in Social Prescribing Activities led by people that have benefited. e.g animal care, natural crafting, horticulture, mindfulness and cookery.

You can turn up at anytime and there will be refreshments throughout but the programme is --

8.15 am - Farm Breakfast and Networking

9 am - Presentions by

  • Dr Jon Fieldhouse Occupational Therapist - School of Health and Wellbeing.
  • B&NES Health Inequalities Team
  • AWP Psychological Therapies Team
  • Twerton and Whiteway Network
  • AWP Early Interventions Team

10 am - Farm Tours and Social Prescribing Activity Tasters.

Come and Cuddle a Chicken, Sow a Sunflower, Scratch a Pig, make some Felt Flowers or feel grounded in a mindfulness session in our wellbeing garden :)

Hear from people with lived experience about the impact nature-based activities have had to their physical and mental health.
