Tavistock Relationships are holding multiple training sessions aimed at providing school staff with the knowledge and tools to identify and manage parental conflict and its impact on pupil behaviour and wellbeing.
Pastoral and teaching (including head teaching) staff are invited to take advantage of this training opportunity.
The workshop will run weekly on Thursday mornings (with the exception of half term) until March 10th, and is designed to help staff better recognise the signs of inter-parental conflict, as well as learn how to respond to and engage children and their parents affected by it; enable school teachers, educational support staff and counsellors to gain a deeper understanding of inter-parental conflict and extend and their skills in dealing with pastoral issues; show how to limit the negative impact of inter-parental conflict on young people and provide members of staff with opportunities to explore their own particular challenges relating to the impact of inter-parental conflict on children and young people within the school environment.
The workshop uses a family/school interaction system model and participants’ own case studies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
