Online course

About the Event

During this 12 week free online short course you’ll explore the potential benefits of a net zero economy for businesses, the workforce and the wider community.

You'll learn to define the range, scope and scale of workplace challenges, particularly for small businesses. You'll also develop an understanding of the potential sustainable solutions for businesses such as low carbon technologies and behaviour change initiatives aimed at the workforce.

You must be aged 19+ to apply. We only accept applications from students who haven't completed a government funded Skills Bootcamp in the last two years.

What we look for

The single biggest thing we’re looking for is for you to possess an interest in solving the challenges net zero goals bring to businesses. While some previous knowledge is desirable, the most important factor is a positive mindset.

Eligibility requirements

You must:

  • Have lived in the UK for at least three years
  • Live in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Bristol or South Gloucestershire
  • Be aged 19+
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Agree to provide mandatory personal data and supplementary information on your employment outcomes for up to eight months following completion of the Skills Bootcamp
  • Be looking for a new role, new opportunities or increased responsibility/promotion to a different role that utilises the skills acquired through this online short course
  • Not have completed a Skills Bootcamp funded by the DfE in the past two years
