About the Event
This event is only available and is free for small businesses, small charities, sole traders and residents based in South Gloucestershire and Bath & North East Somerset. Join us for an interactive, online workshop exploring social value and impact for SMEs and start-ups.
You will get to engage in a couple of exercises throughout the workshop in addition to being provided with information about the regional, central and global context of social value in procurement.
What will You learn? By the end of the workshop participants will:● Understand what social value and impact means and how it intersects with policy at global and local levels, including the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
● Have considered the metrics they use to measure success and consider broadly whether they sit in outputs, outcomes or impact.
Who should attend?This is for start-ups and SMEs interested in the global and local policy and procurement context around social value and impact, especially if they are considering engaging in public sector procurement via local councils or the Combined Authority in the future.
About the Presenter:Stacey Pottinger from Octopus Impact has over 22 years of experience, working across marketing, consultancy, bid writing & business development within commercial business before moving into the charitable and higher education sectors.
Stacey has worked from grassroots to Board room, from strategy and fundraising, to delivery. She has worked with Business owners, 3rd sector organisations, Artists and Creatives, Accountants, Architects and Engineers.
