About the Event
This training is free to all those working in a professional & volunteer capacity in the Bath and North East Somerset area.
A course aimed at improving skills when working with young people who have a learning disability in a sexual health and relationships context. Suitable for anyone who comes into contact with young people with learning disabilities in their work role.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session participants will:
- Have explored their own and others’ attitudes around sexual health and learning disabilities
- Have explored the sexual health and relationships education needs of young people with learning disabilities and how these might best be met
- Considered some aspects of the law relating to sexual health and young people with learning disabilities
- Looked at some key resources for sexual health and relationships education for young people with learning disabilities
- Have practised the skills needed to work with young people with learning disabilities
This session will run from 10:00am-14:30pm with allocated breaks.
This training course will be delivered face to face at Keynsham Civic Centre. Details of how to access Keynsham Civic Centre will be sent to the registered email address.
