About the Event

Recent Government statistics reported the highest number of households living in private or social housing seeking homelessness assistance since data collections began*.

Westminster Insight’s annual Tackling Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Digital Conference will share recommendations, collaborative best practice and evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes for people sleeping rough or at  risk of homelessness.

With keynote addresses provided by Bob Blackman MP, Co-Chair, APPGEH and Lord Bob Kerslake, we will review progress against Government targets, including the goal to end rough sleeping by 2024. What are the next steps to prevent a homelessness crisis with the current cost-of-living crisis?

Learning from successful pilot programmes, the  Centre from Homelessness Impact will share how to create a framework with meaningful indicators for ending rough sleeping. Michelle Binfield,  Rough Sleeping Programme Director at  London Councils  will share evidence-based best practice from her work leading and co-ordinating a partnership programme to end rough sleeping in the capital. Gain an update on the innovative Housing First  approach.

Through a series of  panel discussions and  case studies, you will gain insights on collaborative

approaches across housing, health, care and third sector.  Join the conversation with members of the Committee who produced the  latest NICE guidelines on Integrated Health and Social Care for People Experiencing Homelessness.

We will review the latest data to understand changing trends of people experiencing homelessness. How do you identify severe and multiple disadvantage, address inequalities in service provision and develop person-centred approaches? Ensure you are exploring all options when it comes to supporting vulnerable groups including care leavers, women and young people.

Join us online to hear from experts and practitioners, network with peers and share ideas to end rough sleeping in the UK.
