About the Event
Our world is changing and so is the city! The council has declared a climate emergency and recommends a major shift to mass transport, walking and cycling (where possible) to help reduce carbon emissions and improve health and wellbeing. In addition, the city is also looking at additional access restrictions for vehicles that protect us from potential terrorist attacks. These are vital developments – but they do demand businesses to adapt.
Over the next few months we’re encouraging businesses to try using e-cargo Bike couriers (for free!) when delivering goods in Bath, accompanied by a feasibility review. While this doesn’t solve every business delivery need – it’s a good start. But soon there will be more opportunities, locally and regionally, to use e-cargos to shift goods out of the city to hubs where lower-emission vehicles can take parcels further afield.
E-cargos offer superb opportunities for last-mile delivery with all day access to the city centre, particularly in light of climate change and the security restrictions on vehicles – but we’d love your views and your ideas on how we can support businesses to adapt to change!
