About the Event

A year on from the summer riots of 2024, new research finds a tinderbox of social pressures and grievances remain unaddressed in UK communities, including polarisation, declining political trust and economic pessimism. Without urgent action, unrest risks being reignited.

Join British Future & Belong Network for this lunchtime webinar to hear the detailed findings from the researchers who travelled the country researching the new report ‘The State of Us’, to be published on the day of this event (Tuesday 15th July 2025). The report is a foundational input to the new Independent Commission on Community and Cohesion, chaired by Sir Sajid Javid and Jon Cruddas, which held its inaugural meeting of Commissioners last month. they'll also be joined by expert panellists commenting on the findings.

Panellists include, Jake Puddle (British Future), Kelly Fowler (Belong Network) and more TBC
