About the Event
Climate change is reducing the quality of our lives and widening social inequalities.
This course will give you an understanding of carbon, net zero and environmental change and how it's impacting the charity sector.
It will provide tools and information to help make your charity more sustainable.
By the end of the training, you’ll:
- understand the science behind climate change and how it’s impacting the charity and voluntary sector explore tools and resources to start measuring and managing your charity’s environmental impact identify steps you can take to improve resource efficiency and reduce your charity’s environmental impact. You’ll learn how these actions can improve financial performance, increase stakeholder engagement and open doors to new opportunities connect with other organisations that are already taking action and form partnerships to accelerate sustainability.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anyone interested in developing a strategy to make their charity more environmentally sustainable. Managers and trustees who are interested in how their charity might be affected by climate change.
WHO DELIVERS THE TRAINING? Chris Terry delivers this training.Chris is a registered environmental practitioner, sustainability researcher and consultant.
HOW WILL IT BE DELIVERED?
This training will take place on Zoom. We’ll email the Zoom link with the joining instructions before the session. The training will run from 10.00 until 15.00 with short breaks and a longer lunch break.
Our pricing structure is based on your organisation’s gross annual income. NCVO members also receive a 30% discount on training prices. Prices start from £63 for small NCVO members.
