We are looking for a Community Engagement Coordinator to join the Bath Assembly Rooms team. If you understand community engagement practices and are familiar with the Bath area, this will be a great role for you.
Salary: £27,612 per annum. The advertised salary for this role will be in effect from 1st April.
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract. This is a fixed term contract to cover while the substantive post-holder is on maternity leave. The contract will be up to 12 months from 11th May 2026 and will end when the post-holder returns from maternity leave.

What it's like to work here
Working across project and property teams for Bath Assembly Rooms, you will lead for engaging local communities. Building strong trusted relationships and increasing the confidence and capability of colleagues in community-engaged work are core components of this role.
Reporting to the Senior Community, Participation and Volunteering Manager, you will be based in an office in the grounds of Prior Park Landscape Garden while Bath Assembly Rooms is being refurbished. This role will include some evening and weekend work, and regular working off property at various locations within the local community.
What you'll be doing
As the Community Engagement Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a broad range of community consultation, engagement and participation. This includes supporting both the project team developing the Bath Assembly Rooms and the property team who will deliver the day-to-day experience.
This role will focus on building and maintaining relationships with community partners, designing and delivering activities and outreach, and ensuring community-engaged practice is embedded in the wider project. You will also help to develop and support new flexible ways of volunteering, including managing volunteers in different roles.
This is an exciting time to join the team and help shape how we achieve the National Trust’s new strategy, focusing on Ending Unequal Access to nature, beauty and history by helping more people access and benefit from nature and heritage close to where they live.
