Executive Administrator
Salary: £30,000
35 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements
34 days annual leave (including public holidays)
Are you an organised, proactive and people‑focused administrator who loves making things run smoothly behind the scenes? Do you thrive in a role where no two days are the same, where your work directly supports leadership, trustees, members and the wider community? If so, Bath Preservation Trust would love to hear from you.
Bath Preservation Trust (BPT) is a dynamic, values‑driven charity championing sustainability, design excellence and the unique heritage of the World Heritage City of Bath. We also operate four inspiring museums and deliver a vibrant programme of public events, learning and advocacy.
We are now looking for an Executive Administrator to play a central role in the smooth running of the organisation — supporting our Chief Executive, coordinating governance, and being the friendly, efficient point of contact for our 1,000+ members.
What you will be doing:
You will support the Chief Executive by managing their diary and supporting communications and priorities to maximise their time and impact.
Provide a confidential and accurate secretariat function for trustee and strategic meetings, including preparing papers, taking minutes and maintaining records.
Lead the administration of our Membership Scheme, keeping records up to date, managing renewals, coordinating the AGM and supporting member events.
Be a key point of contact for members, staff, volunteers and external partners — offering clear, professional and positive communication.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised, accurate and able to juggle multiple deadlines with confidence.
- A strong communicator with excellent written skills — especially for minutes and technical notes.
- Trustworthy, discreet and comfortable handling sensitive information.
- Confident with MS Office and digital tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Positive, collaborative and self‑motivated, with a genuine interest in supporting a mission‑driven organisation.
