Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Fitness Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be running a weekly fitness and exercise class for adults with learning disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, the ability to educate clients on proper techniques, and a background in sports coaching is highly desirable.
Duties
- Conduct group exercise sessions
- Educate clients on exercise techniques, nutrition, and overall wellness to promote a healthy lifestyle
- Monitor client progress and adjust training programmes as necessary to ensure optimal results
- Provide motivation and support to clients during workouts, fostering a positive training environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends, techniques, and safety protocols
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the training area and equipment
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals to enhance client experience and programme offerings
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical fitness
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients effectively
- Experience in sports coaching is advantageous, providing insight into various training methodologies
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients towards achieving their personal fitness goals.
- A passion for health and fitness, coupled with a commitment to ongoing professional development
