Bath BID
Full Description of Organisation
The Bath Business Improvement District (BID) is an independent, not-for-profit business-led company working to provide the environment for businesses in Bath to succeed.
The Bath BID is one of 328 BIDs across the UK and Ireland, which collectively deliver over £130 million of investment and improvement into towns and city centres.
Bath BID was established in 2011. Following a renewal ballot in 2015, the Bath BID was given the mandate to continue working in the city for a further five years, and a second renewal ballot in 2021 secured the BID’s contract until 2026.
The BID’s initiatives in the city are funded by the Levy Payers who pool their resources via an annual contribution based on their rateable value.
Our brilliant team of volunteer Welcome Ambassadors are the friendly faces of Bath, here to provide all visitors to the city centre with a warm and informed welcome.
Dressed in bright blue jackets, emblazoned with ‘Welcome to Bath’ and ‘Ask me!’, the team are on-hand around the city from Thursday to Sunday every week. The team operate at key points of the city giving directions, guidance and advice, as well as handing out free maps. If you spot the team out and about, do say hello!
