The Bath Community Kitchen uses food to bring about positive change for vulnerable groups in Bath and surrounding areas. Our vision is for people in Bath to have more opportunities to cook and eat together with delicious, affordable and healthy food in an inclusive and beautiful setting. We also want to empower people with the skills to cook for themselves.

 

We do this with outreach work in the community focused on the people most in need, developing cookery skills, enabling people to access affordable, healthy, delicious meals. Our long term plan is plan to create an inclusive accessible hub where people can access these meals on a pay-what-you-can basis, reducing social isolation and strengthening the community.

 

Our approach seeks to counter the increasing prevalence of food insecurity caused by the cost of living crisis and mental and physical health issues related to social isolation, poor diet and lack of cookery knowledge.
