About Jamie's Farm
Founded in 2009, Jamie’s Farm aims to transform the lives of young people struggling to thrive in school or society and provide a sustainable and proven solution to the national problem of social and academic exclusion.
We achieve this through a unique programme combining unique, impactful residential and day visit experiences on working farms with a rigorous follow-up, built on our core elements: Farming, Family, Therapy, and Legacy. This approach fosters lasting improvements in young people’s social-emotional skills, which underpin positive behaviours, stronger relationships, and improved wellbeing—and are key drivers of better school attendance, attainment, and reduced exclusions. Young people are challenged to step out of their comfort zones, including handing in their phones and technology on arrival. This transformative experience is grounded in a nurturing, homely environment that supports young people to reflect on their successes and let go of negative labels.
Beyond direct work with young people, we aim to drive systemic change by equipping teachers and education professionals with the tools and strategies to engage more effectively with disadvantaged young people, further enabling sustained, long-term changes for young people.
We have now worked with nearly 17,000* young people and currently have residential Farms near Bath (established in 2010), Hereford (2015), Monmouth (2018), Lewes (2019), and Jamie’s Farm Skipton (2023- currently only open for Day Visits) in addition to running Oasis Farm Waterloo, London (2015), in partnership with Oasis Hub Waterloo. We will be opening Jamie’s Farm Shockerwick, close to our inaugural Bath Farm in October 2025.
