In following Jesus who is the Way, prayer is at the centre, because that is what he taught us to do. In responding to His call on our lives, we in turn are part of the ongoing work to encourage others to follow too. We seek to share the love of God and for our building to be open for all who may come in, for us to reach out in practical work to make a difference in people lives and for the good of the city. We are not a perfect community, we don’t always get things right, we experience struggles in life, but in all that, we still seek to follow Jesus faithfully because we know no better way.

The church of St. Michael’s Without, so called as it originally stood ‘without’ the walls of the medieval city of Bath has stood on this site for many centuries as a place of Christian worship. The building you stand in today is the fourth on this site, dating from 1837 and was consecrated just 5 months before Queen Victoria came to the throne.
