Transition Bath is an organisation that advocates for action in response to the climate emergency and aims to build a sustainable future by harnessing the power of the local community amid declining natural resources and rising carbon emissions.
The charity supports the transition to a low-carbon, local economy and the development of a positive, resilient, and safe community.
We currently have three main areas of focus: energy, transport, and food.
Full Description of Organisation
Transition Bath is a long-established environmental charity – part of the international Transition Movement – working at neighbourhood and city scale to help Bath respond practically to climate change. We focus on real-world action: supporting community groups, enabling local projects, influencing decision-making and helping people move from concern to participation.
A core principle of Transition Bath is collaboration. We work across groups, disciplines and perspectives and we support moving to a low carbon, local economy and building a positive, safe resilient community.
